About Dragon Kyukido

The Dragon is a mystical being and has been around in thought for centuries. Many people look at a dragon with a multitude of feelings and thoughts. It evokes in the minds of many curiosity. Master Hutson decided to go with this name because of the mystical elements surrounding the creature the Dragon. The martial arts has a similar mystical element surrounding it. Traditional martial artists hold true and train to embody the mystery behind the coveted "Black Belt". People wonder about the power that is generated by the individuals that practice the discipline. The balance between the elements of the theory of Power will be and must be understood to become a "Black Belt."

The American Kyukido Federation uses a symbol of a Dragon and a Tiger on their uniforms. The thought behind this is that a Dragon is of heaven and a Tiger is of earth. It is suppose to create in people mystical thoughts. To encourage creative thinking. The imagination or the thought of mystery. No one has ever seen a flying dragon. The other thought is that a Tiger being of earth is a dominating creature in Korea and the world and feared by everyone. The Tiger is thought of as one of the Kings of the animal kingdom. There is no imagination with the Tiger, you know that it exists.

The name Dragon Kyukido was establish in 2004 as a result of Master Hutson's desire to provide a name for his school.
